We were sad to receive a message from Wrexham Council this week, alerting us to another instance of vandalism in Minera play area, the second in three weeks. On this occasion the wetpour surface near the slide on the multi-activity unit had been pulled up, creating a trip hazard which might potentially have caused this piece of equipment to be taken out of service awaiting a repair.

Fortunately the playground inspector from Wrexham Council was able to remedy the damage immediately, and has done a great job, as the attached before and after pictures show.

We have, as previously, alerted the police, and will be keeping our own eyes open for further problems. Please, if you notice anything going on in the play area which doesn’t look right, call 101 and pass on the details – thank you.
