Coronavirus Covid-19

Coronavirus Covid-19

Coronavirus Covid-19

This is a difficult time for everyone and Minera Community Council will play its part here online.

We will attempt to bring together the latest official advice about how to cope with the virus, especially if you go into voluntary self-isolation either for a relatively short period or, as now seems likely in the case of older people, if it is for an extended time.

We will also signpost trusted official advice. There will be rumour and counter-rumour on social media and other parts of the web, gossip in the streets and in some of the press. We, however, will support and promote neighbourliness, respect and care for all our residents.

For now, remember those who are the most vulnerable. Check regularly that they are coping. If you are unsure about how to do this, there is a great idea below.
Check back here often as we will also be bringing together any news of specific interest to our communities. If you feel there is further information that we could make available, please use the e-mail links  at the bottom of this page.

We will see this through together.

Minera Community Council.

MINERA COMMUNITY COUNCIL

STATEMENT TO RESIDENTS CONCERNING CORONAVIRUS

Minera Community Council is committed to being a source of assistance and service to the communities of Minera and all of our residents throughout the current national health crisis. Your Clerk and Councillors are working to provide the most effective service that they can to support everyone and direct them to the help and resources available, and to publish up to date guidance from national and regional government, local authorities and health professionals.

Please check our website www.mineracommunitycouncil.co.uk and noticeboards for the latest information, and get in touch with any of our Councillors or Clerk via the contact details available on both the website and the noticeboards with any issues or queries for the Community Council’s attention.

The regular monthly meeting of Minera Community Council scheduled for Wednesday 18 March has been postponed until Wednesday 25 March in order that time can be spent scheduling the Council’s priorities and making alternative arrangements to meet and conduct business should it not be possible to hold face to face meetings for a period of time.

It will be the Council’s foremost priority to draw up plans to support the most vulnerable and isolated members of our communities, and to seek voluntary help from anyone who is able to assist in this effort. Please therefore check our website for details as this will be the quickest means by which we will be able to publicise developments.

Thank you for reading this notice, and in anticipation of anything you can do or offer to support our communities.

Councillor H Field, Chair, Minera Community Council
01978 750775
