As we have previously announced, we will be upgrading the play equipment in Gwynfryn this year. Over the last few months we have been going through the process of selecting a contractor to deliver the new equipment, including replacing the piece of old chain link fencing and upgrading the safety surfaces, and we now have a provisional date of late September for the work to begin.

Our chosen contractor is Play and Leisure, based in Buckley, and they will be providing new swings, a multiplay unit with walkway, slide and climbing tower, and a spinner dish. The equipment mix has been put together to enable greater access for less able-bodied children (the slide is double-width for instance, to enable a carer to slide alongside), and will completely replace the existing items.

When dates are firmed up, we will let everyone know.
