This is, to say the least disappointing.

We have had to buy a replacement seat for the zipwire this week because the existing one has been used as a dog toy, and according to the Wrexham Council playground inspector who discovered the damage, Minera isn’t the only village where this has happened recently.

Apparently the seat has been propelled along the line for a dog to chase and catch – with its teeth as that’s what dogs do – resulting in chunks of the plastic seat being bitten off, leaving sharp edges.

This is a waste of £200 of public money for the time and materials to put it right, and is completely unacceptable.
