Platinum Jubilee

Councillors and myself have been busy hanging bunting and plaques around our 5 communities ahead of the official national celebrations at the end of this week. We hope that residents will appreciate these efforts to add a little colour to our surroundings and join us to the bigger network of events which will be taking place all over the country and the Commonwealth in the coming days. However you choose to mark the occasion yourselves, we hope you enjoy the extended weekend holiday.

Our lasting commemorations for the Platinum Jubilee will be in the form of trees and other floral installations, and these will be appearing in all 5 of our communities across the late Summer and early Autumn, when the tree planting season comes round again. We will be sharing the details of these plans as they come together.

Best wishes to you all,

David Hinchliffe, Clerk, Minera CC
