Footpaths around Minera

At the meeting of Minera Community Council held on 17 November, the Footpaths Committee was reinstated. A group of Councillors will therefore now be walking round and checking the rights of way and permissive paths in our community, and notifying Wrexham County Borough of any issues needing their attention. We’ll be highlighting items of general interest on here as they arise. If you have any concerns about the state of the paths, please get in touch ( mineracc@googlemail.com  ) and we will be happy to assist where we can. This will mostly be to pass issues on to the appropriate body – Borough Council, Wildlife Trust, Quarry Trust, Ramblers Association and others – but all problems will get the appropriate treatment.

There are also initiatives underway aimed at getting the paths in the community better known and more frequented. We will be publishing further details on here an our website as they become available from the Ramblers Association (Paths to Wellbeing) and the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB (who are creating a new set of routes with historical interest) and which will feature places to stop for refreshment.
