Minera Residents are Winners of Age Connects Awards

Two of our residents in Minera have been selected for awards through Age Connects.
Anne Fox won the regional “Best Volunteer”Award for her extensive and selfless work volunteering for Nightingale House Hospice, Home Start and St Mary’s Church. She successfully took part in a parachute jump and a number of walking events to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society and volunteers on the committee for the Dementia Village scheme run in Minera.
Dorothy Bostwick won the regional “Best Neighbour” Award for her relentless help and support to neighbours in her area. She has gone on to win the All Wales National “Best Neighbour” Award following consideration from an independent panel.
