We’re delighted to announce that Coedpoeth United’s bid for grant funding to renovate the container by the football field has been successful. Work will therefore begin soon to put in new changing rooms and refurbishments to complement the big improvements which have already been made to the field itself.

Coedpoeth Unitied brought the Minera football field back into use in 2020 thanks to a lot of hard work, together with financial support from Minera Community Council and North Wales Police and Community Trust. The work on the container will be the next phase of enhancing these community facilities in Minera village.

Part of the project will be administered by Minera Community Council to develop a youth meeting space in one side of the container. This will follow on from the Football Club’s project and will be informed by research currently being conducted by Wrexham Council into what our young people would like to see provided for them.
